About you

Exciting opportunities are available for qualified Clinical Psychologists who want to relocate to New Zealand.

In New Zealand, Clinical Psychologists provide psychological assessment, diagnosis, formulation and therapy across a wide range of mental health and wellbeing services in both urban and rural communities. You'll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment with a strong emphasis on cultural competence, evidence-based practice, and professional development.

Roles are available across all age groups and clinical settings, including:

  • Adult Mental Health
  • Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS)
  • Older Adult Services
  • Perinatal and Maternal Mental Health
  • Early Psychosis Intervention
  • Forensic Mental Health
  • Intellectual Disabilities
  • Youth Offending and Community Services
  • Physical Health and Rehabilitation

Positions are available across New Zealand with immediate start dates, or you can speak with our Recruitment team about your plans to move to New Zealand.

To work as a Clinical Psychologist in New Zealand, you must be registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board under the clinical scope of practice and hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate. Overseas-trained applicants are assessed individually on their qualifications, competence, and fitness to practice.

Salary and benefits

With 4 weeks of annual leave and 12 paid public holidays, you have time explore our beautiful country and raise a family in our diverse communities. Along with your base salary you will have ongoing professional development and will work alongside a multi-disciplinary and supportive team.

  • Annual salaries range ₩ 698 M - ₩123 M (NZ $85K - NZ $150K) plus allowances.

Additional allowances are paid on top of base salary and vary due to location and service. Working for Health New Zealand
