Sales Support Executive

Salary: Competitive

Location: Seoul, South Korea (hybrid - 40-60% of time in the office)

Contract: Permanent, full time (40 hours a week)

We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a data-driven Sales Support Executive to join our small, busy and friendly team in Seoul.

About the role

This Sales Support Executive will play a key part in supporting sales activity through sophisticated data analysis, as well as helping to grow our business in line with the organizational strategy, targets, policies, and processes. You will contribute to the development of successful business relationships with both new and existing customers, ensuring the continued success and growth of our offering.

Key responsibilities:

  • Strategize sales activities and campaigns, understand strategic business challenges and priorities, analyse information, prioritise critical opportunities and develop execution plans.
  • Customer engagement: Build a good understanding of target customers and their business, focus on retention and ensure customers achieve their business outcomes using our products and services.
  • Develop and maintain solid, positive, long-term professional relationships with customers, prospects and key partners, including Universities, Government, R&D institutions etc.
  • Develop a solid working knowledge of the company's products and market. Regularly review the product portfolio.
  • Regularly run reports related to usage, turnaway and publishing data.
  • Support with tender preparation, tender handling process and processing price quotes.
  • Coordinate the quoting and contract process with relevant stakeholders.
  • Contract management (creation, maintenance and renewals) with contract management software.
  • Day-to-day order processing and customer enquires execution, issue resolution
  • Identify the need for sales materials and coordinate.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g. Marketing and Customer Services)

About you

To be considered for this Sales Support role where you can make a real impact, you must have strong proficiency in Excel and ideally experience of analysing and interpreting large volumes of raw data and detail. Microsoft Power BI skills would be a bonus.

The successful candidate will also ideally have some previous experience working in the higher education, library, publishing, online information management or similar industry. Experience in sales or a similar sales support role is a plus, but not essential. Being educated to degree-level (or equivalent) would be preferable.

The ideal candidate will be a self-driven, logical, analytical thinker with the ability to multitask and adapt. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Korean and English.
