Cheil Worldwide is seeking an Executive Creative Director (Design) to work in Seoul, Korea. Relocation, visa, housing allowance, stipends, annual return trip offered. MUST commit to a minimum of 2 years in Korea. Must have fluent English, strong Design (brand visual content) and global experience, preferably for tech and consumer electronics.

About the Role
  • Specializing in brand visual content, the ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in crafting brand experiences at a global scale, delivering innovative, strategic, and culturally resonant design solutions.
  • Leads two creative teams in developing and producing visual layouts for various media, including digital platform and print materials.
  • Oversees brand visual identity and campaign strategies while leading creative direction and producing high quality visual content.
  • Acts as the leader developing design solutions.
  • Develops and executes the visual strategy for the brand.
  • Manages team leadership and project oversight.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and oversee the design vision and strategy that align with client’s goals, brand identity and marketing position
  • Ensure alignment with the company’s creative and business goals.
Creative Excellence:
  • Lead the conceptualization and execution of innovative design solutions that resonate across regions.
  • Maintain high creative/design standards and review works to ensure if meets these standards and adheres to brand guidelines
  • Elevate the design language and brand identity globally.
Team Management and collaboration:
  • Guide and Mentor creative teams and collaborate with regional teams, as needed
  • Provide creative direction and guidance to creative teams, offering constructive feedback to enhance their work
  • Work closely with clients, stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, gather feedback and ensure client satisfaction. Especially, strengthen the Samsung MX (Mobile Experience) business by earning clients’ trust through creative excellence
  • Collaborate with MX teams in client, as well as Global Marketing Center (GMC), Visual Display (VD), Digital Appliance (DA) and other Samsung global divisions
  • Work closely with internal teams, clients, and partners to translate brand strategies into impactful design outcomes.
  • Advocate for design-driven approaches in decision-making processes.
Global Trend Insight:
  • Monitor and integrate global design trends, cultural nuances, and emerging technologies into brand strategies.

About the Requirements
  • You’ve got to check the boxes before you can think outside of them.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in advertising, marketing, communications, journalism, or related field preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently and effectively in written and verbal English.
  • 15+ years of experience in design leadership, including global brand experience.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing design strategies for internationally recognized brands.
  • Strong understanding of branding, storytelling, and cultural sensitivities across regions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to articulate design concepts and strategies effectively.
  • Proficient in design tools and emerging technologies
  • Inspirational leadership and team-building skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex global organizational structure
  • Open to travel, extended hours
  • Must be willing to relocate to Seoul for at least 2 years
About the Rewards
  • Compensation: Decided upon in accordance with future discussion
  • Annual Bonus: 0~20% (Based on Performance Evaluation)
