JOB TITLE: Engineer_Mechanical

DIVISION: GAP (Gas and Process)

REPORT TO: Manager_Engineering

LOCATION: Busan, South Korea

[MISSION]
To provide best solutions regarding function and costs according to specifications and customer needs for compressor packages, and to coordinate between local customers and our foreign product companies.

[KEY RESPONSIBILITY]

• Order handling of compressor applications including local parts like heat exchanger, piping, oil system and others
• Generate PID, General Arrangement Drawings and Foundation Plans
• 2D/3D system design of compressors (e.g. lubrication oil system, base frame, piping and auxiliary components) according to related specifications, work standards, design codes and standards in cooperation with project team.
• Issue and write technical component specifications.
• Issue requests for quotations in cooperation with the responsible sourcing engineer.
• Technical evaluation of quotations from technical point of view
• Participate at customer meeting and give technical support to the internal team.
• Coordination between Atlas Copco and our local customers.
• Follow up and coordination with related component suppliers.
• Support workshop team during compressor packaging and test run.
• Support aftermarket team for installation and commissioning.
• Ensuring all scheduled dates/deadlines are met.
• Regularly review all on-going projects status, identify potential risks and define pro-active actions plan or red flag to manager.
• To understand the requirements regarding mechanical and packaging design of the technical order specification
• To set up the mechanical and packaging design of the compressor package and/or to support the product companies in doing so.
• To select the required mechanical components and to prepare bill of materials.

[REQUIREMENTS]

• University degree or above, majored in in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• More than 5 years working experience in mechanical package design, order handling or production environment.
• Experience in a multinational or exporting machinery company would be appreciated.
• Experience regarding to marine classifications (KR, LR, DNV, BV, ABS) is a surplus.
• Working experience at rotating equipment company is a surplus.
• Very good English in both spoken and written, fluency in Korean language.
• Good computer skills: Microsoft Office, CAD, and SAP (SAP knowledge is a surplus)
• Excellent communication and interaction skills.
• Willing to travel (domestic and abroad), average<10%
