Summary
Manage MD Inventory Planning and Outlet merchandise according to the company’s strategy which reflects the financial sales target (FP/MKD), sell thru target by season/category/store in order to maximize sales opportunity while managing profitable stock level through out product life cycle.
Job Description
Job Scope
Inventory planning / Supply chain to support DOS(Directly Operated Store) & outlet merchandising functions, including managing allocation, markdown, inventory management, product delivery and planning reporting
Main Job Responsibilities
  • Allocation
  • Weekly distribution by product category in collaboration to buyers
  • Oversee systemic work related to allocation, replenishment and merchandise control of the categories
  • Manage sell thru by store and execute stock rebalancing
  • Carryover/permanent product assortment and mapping adjustment
  • Inventory Management
  • Stock level forecast and stock management according to merchandising strategies
  • Review sales, sell thru and inventory across both retail DOS and outlet by store level and come up with action plans as working closely with other departments
  • Overview STS (Stock Transfer System) workflow- stock transfer between stores (DOS) upon sales & deposit
  • Sales forecast on carryover/permanent products regulary and share insight of the gap
  • Laise with HQ supply chain team to maintain adequate inventory level with timely delivery
  • Partner with Kering logistic team and work with HQ to align on inventory guideline; return to local WH(Warehouse), ICT(Intercompany Transfer), transfer out to HQ WH, etc.
  • Outlet Merchandising
  • Manage seasonal merchandise with periodical markdown step according to sell thru to achieve sales target
  • Arrange assortment and allocation plan for the new season
  • Mapping MFO (Made For Outlet) merchandise and give feedback to HQ outlet team
  • Stock procurement with HQ outlet team
  • ICT at Outlet merchandise WW level
  • Outlet Store visit
  • Reporting

  • Sales recap by category by typology with growth vs LY and sell thru
  • Markdown sales report
<Monthly>
  • Sales by category by store
  • Outlet sell thru and monthly comments to HQ
<Weekly>
  • Weekly report from inventory planning’s perspective
  • Stock coverage analysis by category
  • Delivery status update for seasonal group
  • Support products in&out to in-store event (including pop up) and store opening
  • Markdown / Outlet price management
  • Monthly call with HQ supply chain team; Facillitate monthly supply review meeting
  • Store visit with Corporate team
Qualification
  • Fluency in speaking and writing English
Knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills and good at standardizing work process skills to match the financial numbers with other departments (especially Finance & Retail)
  • Strong leadership and communicator with a proven track record in leading, coaching, developing and succession planning of buying team
  • Commercial awareness and strong business acumen
Skills
  • Proficient especially in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to think logically with orderly manner
  • Ability on using different interface (POS and ERP) systems
  • Attentive to details & result-oriented with flexible & positive thinking
  • A team player with pleasant personality and the ability to work independently
  • Dedication and good determination to meet deadlines
  • Minimum 3years’ experience in fashion merchandising/planning role with international fashion/luxury brand companies
