PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The SAP HANA Database & Analytics organization is a global organization dedicated on delivering database & analytics technology and solutions such as SAP HANA Database & SAP Analytics Cloud that addresses customers' unique and competitive business requirements.

In SAP HANA Database & Analytics Cross-Engineering organization, we are working on ensuring the entire software development cycle including development process and build & test infrastructure for the continuous integration and continuous delivery of software products developed by global development teams in SAP HANA Database & Analytics. For instance, we are developing a massive scalable job execution platform in Cloud which is to be used as a core of our state-of-the-art software CI/CD infrastructure for SAP HANA & Analytics products.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As a Developer you will be working in the global HANA QA Infrastructure team in SAP HANA & Analytics Cross-Engineering together with a group of exceptionally talented and motivated colleagues.You will be part of SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) team and will be responsible for maintaining and implementing observability stack of HANA QA infrastructure to help service operations and support teams.

Roles & Responsibilities for SRE:

Implement, improve and operate observability stack
Enhance operational qualities and efficiency of services by developing automatic serivce operation pipeline with Artificial Intelligence
Bring Site Reliability Engineering concept in place from monitoring to issue management

We are looking for Site Reliability Engineer who are committed to a technology career path. Your set of application documents should contain a resume.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

We require that you meet the core competencies and skills listed below.

Minimum:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related field or related technical discipline
6+ years of experience in software development
Python programming and debugging
SQL for monitoring, alerting and insight retrieval from data
Experience in observability stack such as RDBMS, OpenSearch, Grafana, or so
Linux experience and bash scripting skills
Understanding about Artificial Intelligence especially Generative AI
Excellent communication skills in English

Preferred:

3+ years of experience as SRE/DevOps Engineer
Experience in Docker and container orchestration technologies (Mesos, Kubernetes)
Experience in Cloud technologies (AWS/GCP/Azure)
Experience in developing distributed system or service
Professional experience in large-scale databases
Experience in Web Server programming
Experience with IaC (Terraform, Ansible)
